Supporters of a pioneering project to develop a centre for young people with learning disabilities and complex needs enjoyed afternoon tea and tunes while raising £2200.

The sell-out event for the Haven Appeal was held at the Beaufort Hotel in Inverness on Saturday 20 November 2021.

Entertainment included the Elizabeth Fraser School of Highland Dancers and the Inverness Gaelic School Choir led by Iain-Murdo Macleod.

John Gallon, Norma Gault and Irene Pearson.

Also appearing were musicians Roya MacLennan and Mhairi MacKinnon, Gaelic singer Karen Elder and brother and sister duo Neil and Rachel Sutherland.

Young musicians Rachel and Neil Sutherland.

Rona Matheson, community fundraiser for the appeal, thanked everyone who had supported the event.

She said: “The day was one of comments, ‘what a wonderful afternoon full of Scottish talent’, ‘oh, how we have missed getting out to hear live music’ and ‘the children have such talent’.”
